If we ever needed proof that when it comes to patriotic, Americana-themed designs, Ralph Lauren certainly is among the first fashion brands that come to mind. And now the U.S. Postal Service is confirming it with next month’s release of a new series of stamps celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary. Called American Icons, they feature a very Ralph-iconic teddy bear wearing his classic flag sweater, his vintage pick-up truck, a baseball mitt, loveable dogs, and, duh, American flags. Although there’s no specific Lauren identification, there’s really no need; this is his quintessential, optimistic American iconography. Anybody who knows the brand will appreciate the images and the stamp of approval (sorry) the post office has given to Ralph Lauren.
