Beatriz Tourinho is a Brazilian-born student writer and Fashion Business Management major at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. She found her passion for storytelling through her grandmother, Margarida Lobo Valente, a published author and her lifelong role model. At age seven, Beatriz co-authored a Portuguese children’s book with her grandmother, inspiring her dedication to writing. After moving to the U.S. at ten, Beatriz set her sights on a fashion career that bridges Brazilian and American cultures, intending to bring Brazilian fashion to a global audience and share its vibrant, diverse heritage worldwide. Her writing reflects a personal perspective, providing insights into the evolving intersections of fashion, sustainability, and consumer behavior.
